While reflecting on our progress in 2016, we smile at what we have achieved. We are extremely proud to have broken down barriers in an area that was previously untouched when it came to sensory difficulties.
We have learnt so much about people, how we think, how we behave and most of all, how we look after the most vulnerable in society.
Campaigning about such a topic about autism and sensory difficulties as a whole begins with an in depth explanation about why facilities are needed. Not just text book style, but in a way that makes the person think about their own fears and difficulties and how they struggle. It is not until then that people can truly empathise with those who struggle on a daily basis.
We have made some amazing contacts this year. People who have been extremely supportive in so many ways!
We say an enormous thanks to our Trustees; Andrea, Andy, Cathy, David and Jason. They support us in every way imaginable and are always available. They really are amazing people.
We give massive thanks to our fantastic supporters. You have helped us keep going. All we need to do is check our social media and we see you! It spurs us on and gives us more drive and determination. Thank you for the ‘likes’ and shares on Facebook, instagram and linkedIn, tweets, retweets, hi-fives, cards and emails. We’d like to give huge thanks for your very kind donations! They are so very much appreciated!
Last but not least, the biggest thanks to our boys. Nathan, Owen and Callum. Without them, this would never have happened. Nathan’s love of football gave us the passion and determination as parents to make something happen. He has opened up a whole new world to so many people, old and young and Owen and Callum are showing us that what works for one, may not work for others.
All in all, a fantastic year, with fantastic people. Thank you all so much again and together let’s get more rooms in more stadiums in more areas!
