Well, what a busy time it has been!
You may have caught us on BBC Breakfast this morning! Why?
Well, on Sunday, for their match against Manchester United, Middlesbrough’s sensory room will open its doors!
We are thrilled that now, 5 clubs have created this facility, and although Middlesbrough’s room is one with a difference…it has no view to the pitch… it will show the match through live streaming onto a TV screen in the room, there will also be a hint of a sound of the crowd, which adds to it’s authenticity. The room boasts therapeutic light shows, branded MFC bean bags, fidget boxes (gender specific), books and games (donated by the wonderful folk at WHSmith at Teesside Park).
The room also has an incredible window art which portrays the view of the bowl of the stadium, which really is an incredible addition!
We’d like to thank John Foster of BBC Tees for having us linked live on his show yesterday and BBC TV for filming us yesterday; to be broadcast today!
So, if you’d like to see how the room looks, listen to MFC staff chat about how they did it and hear our story; tune in to Look North tonight at 6.30pm!
